Float Collar and Float Shoe description:
The float shoe is securely attached to the bottom of the casing, serving to provide buoyancy during the lowering of the casing string. This buoyancy helps to reduce the load on the drilling rig. Additionally, the round nose of the float shoe effectively guides the casing, ensuring it is directed away from any ledges or obstructions within the well bore as it is being lowered.
Furthermore, the float shoe is equipped with a built-in check valve. This valve not only aids in providing buoyancy to the casing string but also serves the critical function of preventing cement from re-entering the casing once it has been displaced.
